  • Aurora Mega-Gallery: http://www.spaceweather.com/aurora/gallery.html
    • This is a collection of every aurora photo ever published on SpaceWeather.com, combined into one "mega-gallery." There are spooky auroras, man-made auroras, auroras in Florida, auroras at the South Pole, auroras beneath the space shuttle -- thousands of photos. Together, they are a unique chronicle of space weather since the year 2000.
  • North Pole picture of Sun and Moon on horizon
  • NASA's HST: The Eye of God
  • The Sky's the Limit: Grand Finale for Twin-Telescope Survey. The celestial harvest from astronomy's most thorough high-resolution digital survey of the entire sky, completed by twin infrared telescopes, is now online for scientists to scrutinize and the entire world to savor. An atlas of about 5 million pictures from the grand finale of this milestone in modern astronomy is available at
  • The NASA Image Exchange web site is a one-stop source for any pictures taken on any NASA mission. If you want NASA imagery, here's the place to go!
  • A searchable database containing more than 35 years of astronaut photography
  • Hubble Space Telescope Pictures -- extensive archive
  • A Flash presentation with music of some of Hubble's most amazing pictures -- with descriptions of what you're looking at. Very impressive!
  • Astronomy Picture of the Day
  • Space Station Science Picture of the Day
    • Science officer Don Pettit and his Expedition 6 crewmates onboard the International Space Station have been sending us some extraordinary pictures. Some show breathtaking views of the sky through the station's windows. Others highlight ongoing scientific research in physics and biology. NASA wants to share these pictures with you, so they've developed a "Space Station Science Picture of the Day" web site. "Every weekday, Monday through Friday, we'll post a new and cool photo taken by someone on the ISS."

    • From NASA: "This is an experimental service by Science@NASA. We plan to maintain it for the duration of ISS Expedition 6 (until early May). If you like it, we may be able to continue beyond that time, so let us know."
  • International Space Station and Space Shuttle
  • Apollo Moon landing sites
